ENGINEERING CAREERS IN MALAYSIA: Western Digital


A significant names which spearheading the advent of information technology in Malaysia. Welcome to Western Digital (WD). To layman, the company is known as the manufactures of the computer hard drives, contents, external storage and consumer electronics product. The main headquarter lies in Lake Forest, California. To date, the company employs 27,000 people worldwide. The areas of suitable career will be in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, IT, Mechanical Engineering and Social Science and Skills in C++ and Robotics. In Malaysia, the company already established since 1973 with an investment amounted to RM 1.6 billion for the past 35 years span. 

The average starting salary is RM2,500(USD 811) per month. There are also other fascinating  employment package. Imagine going for an overseas assignment which is the starting point of an international exposure. An engineer may be sent to US headquarters for training. Damn! that's awesome :) .

The Use of Cascading Drain to Collect Runoff From Slope

I only focusing on the surface runoff and the role of cascading drain to channel the runoff safely to designated discharged point. A rainfall on a steep slopes will run as surface runoff with lower probability for the water to infiltrate into the soil. This necessitate the introduction of cascading drain to collect the water from the berm or slope drain. The design of cascading drain is basically allowing the hydraulic jump, an abrupt changes from supercritical to subcritical flow that will reduce the water flow rate and act as an energy dissipater. Professional Competency Examination: My Story

When I originally considered taking the Professional Competency Examination (PCE), I wasn't sure if it was the best choice for me because of the vast syllabus covered.  The list goes on.
